9. Additional Work
During the course of a service visit, IronLift technicians may identify issues that were not visible or reasonably discoverable during the initial inspection or estimate.
Where additional work is recommended, we will explain the findings and seek customer approval before proceeding, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary to address an imminent safety concern or prevent significant property damage.
Approved additional work may result in additional charges.
10. Services and Availability
IronLift provides residential and commercial garage door services within selected service areas in British Columbia.
Not all products, services, manufacturers, promotions, or response times are available in every location.
We reserve the right to:
- Decline projects outside our service area;
- Decline services that cannot be safely performed;
- Limit or discontinue specific products or services;
- Modify service offerings without prior notice.
Nothing on this website guarantees the future availability of any product or service.
11. Payments
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment for completed services is due upon completion of the work.
For certain products, custom orders, special orders, or larger projects, IronLift may require a deposit before work begins.
IronLift reserves the right to suspend work, withhold warranty services where permitted, or pursue any legal remedies available for unpaid invoices.
Applicable taxes will be added where required by law.
12. Scheduling, Delays & Cancellations
Appointment dates and estimated arrival times are provided as estimates only and are not guaranteed.
While IronLift makes every reasonable effort to arrive as scheduled, delays may occur due to weather conditions, emergency service calls, traffic, supplier delays, equipment failures, staffing availability, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Customers may request to reschedule appointments by providing reasonable notice.
IronLift reserves the right to reschedule appointments when reasonably necessary.
13. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:
- Providing safe and unobstructed access to the work area;
- Removing vehicles, equipment, and personal belongings that may interfere with the work;
- Ensuring children and pets remain clear of the work area during service;
- Informing IronLift of any known hazards or unsafe conditions before work begins;
- Providing accurate information regarding the requested service.
IronLift reserves the right to suspend or discontinue work if the work environment is determined to be unsafe.
14. Parts Availability
IronLift cannot guarantee the immediate availability of all products, replacement parts, colours, finishes, manufacturers, or models.
Availability may change without notice due to manufacturer decisions, supply chain disruptions, discontinued products, or other circumstances beyond our control.
Where appropriate, IronLift may recommend comparable replacement products.
15. Emergency Services
Emergency service availability, response times, and arrival estimates are based on operational capacity and are not guaranteed.
Actual response times may vary depending on technician availability, travel distance, weather conditions, traffic, workload, and other operational factors.
16. Warranties
Manufacturer warranties remain subject to the individual manufacturer's terms and conditions.
Any workmanship warranty provided by IronLift applies only to services performed directly by IronLift and only for the period expressly stated in writing.
Workmanship warranties do not apply to:
- Normal wear and tear;
- Misuse or neglect;
- Accidents;
- Acts of nature;
- Unauthorized modifications or repairs;
- Improper maintenance;
- Pre-existing defects unrelated to our work; or
- Damage caused by third parties.
Nothing contained on this website creates any additional warranty beyond those expressly provided in writing.

22. Force Majeure
IronLift shall not be liable for any delay, interruption, or failure to perform its obligations where such delay or failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, floods, wildfires, earthquakes, power outages, internet or telecommunications failures, labour disputes, transportation disruptions, supply chain shortages, government actions, public health emergencies, or any other force majeure event.
Where reasonably practicable, IronLift will make reasonable efforts to notify affected customers and reschedule services as appropriate.
23. Right to Refuse Service
IronLift reserves the right to refuse, postpone, suspend, or discontinue services where permitted by applicable law, including but not limited to circumstances involving:
- Unsafe working conditions;
- Unsafe or inaccessible properties;
- Threatening, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour toward our personnel;
- Fraudulent or misleading information;
- Failure to make required payments;
- Requests that would require unlawful, unsafe, or unethical work; or
- Any circumstance that may place our technicians, customers, equipment, or property at unreasonable risk.
Nothing in this section shall be interpreted as permitting discrimination contrary to applicable law.
