Bent or misaligned tracks force the door to fight itself every time it moves, putting strain on the rollers, cables, springs and opener. We straighten, realign or replace tracks so the door runs the way it's supposed to.
Tracks guide the rollers as the door opens and closes. A small tap from a vehicle bumper, a loose lag bolt in the header, or years of vibration can knock tracks out of alignment. The result is a door that binds, rubs or pops, and if left alone, tracks can fail badly enough to drop the door out of the opening.

Maintenance tips
- Never grease or oil the inside of the tracks, it attracts grit and worsens roller wear.
- Check that the tracks are vertical (plumb) once a year; a tape measure across both tracks at top and bottom should read the same.
- Tighten track lag bolts and brackets annually.
- If you tap the door with a vehicle, have the tracks inspected even if it looks fine, small bends worsen quickly.
